Just checkin' in for a gentle reminder to change your links to my new blog... all the latest pictures and updates are goin' on at the new space so head on over!
There's still a few tiny tweaks to work out, but I had some great feedback with an unofficial release a couple days ago, so it's time to head on over to the NEW Photography by Megan Sneak Peek Blog! Starting now I will resume regular posting at the new place with tons of my latest sessions and pictures, so MAKE SURE to update all of your links, bookmarks, RSS feeds, etc! I've explained a little more over there so you'll get the full story with all the details. Can't wait to see you at the new space!
You might remember sisters Taylor and Megan from last summer. This time, big brother Kaden joined in and we got the whole family in for a fun early spring session. I especially loved the girls colorful dresses! I know I've said it before, but I'm really ready for the weather to change but in the meantime at least dressing for springtime can help brighten any picture! Check out some of my picks!
It's hard to believe these twins are almost THREE! I've been photographing them since the very beginnings of my blog when they were just nine months old! Our last session was about a year ago and this time they were in their new house! It's fun to follow families as they grow and change. Alexis was a little shy at first but once she got "her" camera and took a few pictures of ME she was all smiles. Here are my favorites! Also... the new blog is almost finished... can't wait to show you all!
I just wanted to pop in and let you know I'm currently down in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for my Twin Cities Sessions! I'll be back in my office sometime on Friday. I'm also working behind-the-scenes on another project--MY NEW BLOG! It will boast even BIGGER pictures, easier commenting (and I can even comment back, thus conversations or questions may be asked in the comment section!) and a little bit updated feel and look to the blog you know and love well...just in a fancy new space! I hope to launch it very soon.
Otherwise, I'm currently planning my Bismarck sessions so if you're from the area or know anyone interested, shoot me an e-mail and get on the list for April! Regularly scheduled blog posts and pictures will be back soon!
As you may have noticed I've been doing a little "spring" updating around here. A new blog header was just the beginning when I decided a few days ago I needed some change. One thing led to another and I ended up finally getting the motivation to update my website! For the past few days I've been absolutely buried in pictures, going through archives from the last year, resizing, arranging, thinking, changing, swapping, changing my mind again, adjusting and tweaking! It's been hard to narrow down the images I wanted to use--I keep going back to add more! Looking at the finished product I'm even more aware of how my style has really evolved this past year, especially with how much I LOVE using bright colors in every shot I can. I hope when people see my work that my style is recognizable and stands out, because that's what I'm going for and I want my website to reflect that. Plus, if you haven't checked it out in awhile, now is a great time to go and see all the galleries with loads of NEW pictures (and a few old favorites, too!)
So check it out, the once again new and improved www.meganphoto.com! Let me know what you think!
Ryder is now a big brother! You may remember the long-locked cutie with the green crocs from our urban session this past fall. Baby Max was ready for his closeup at two weeks old and as soon as he fell asleep he was a dream to pose. I was able to get some great classic newborn shots as he drifted off, and even Ryder jumped in and I shot some of the two of them close together, which is no easy feat for kids this age! Both boys did great and I got so many awesome pictures it was hard to pick my favorites!
I always enjoy doing weddings for people I've known for a long time, and Breanna was no exception! Our families have known each other since we were kids, her sister and I were classmates and I have lots of childhood memories that involve the Clays! She is also the auntie to the triplets you've seen on my blog quite a few times before. In addition to the fact that our parents were high school classmates, I also found out Tyler's parents knew my parents in college..what a small world! Needless to say it was a fun wedding and I had a great time. The weather was sunny but chilly (what else is new?) but we still got some fantastic outdoor shots at my request...their braveness paid off (it was freezing) and we got some awesome images captured!
You may remember these three buddies from their last session at the end of November. Well, it was time for another one! They're all around nine months now so their mommies decided it would be cool to get together again. This time we stayed indoors but had a lot of fun anyways. This first shot was hilarious, and we all agreed they might kill us for this when they're older! But the result was priceless. It's sure been fun watching them grow so far this year...soon enough we'll be celebrating their first birthdays!
Another little cutie turning one! I had such a fun year photographing Vayle (and her big brother and sister joined in on a few sessions, too!) and it's hard to believe she's gone from a tiny newborn to now eating her birthday cupcake and making a chocolate-y mess! At our last visit we ventured outside but this time it was a bit too chilly so we stayed indoors and had fun with balloons and wardrobe changes. In the end, of course, we got down to just the diaper so she could get as messy as she wanted with her birthday treat...she loved it so much she didn't even want to let go of it during her sink bath!
